The boom of graphene research has stimulated great interest in two-dimensional form by other elements, either single element or composite materials. Among these 2D materials special interest have been paid on those formed by carbon neighbors, such as group IV elements (Si, Ge, Sn), and its neighboring element, boron and nitrogen. 2D materials formed by carbon neighbors may possess intriguing structural and electronic properties closely related, but also differ from that of graphene. In this talk we will present our recent experimental works on 2D materials, for examples silicene and 2D boron. I will focus on MBE growth, and structure and electronic characterizations by STM.
报告人简介： 1973年10月生。1995年浙江大学物理系毕业。2000年在中科院物理所获得博士学位。2000年到2004年在日本东北大学金属材料研究所工作。2004年10月受中科院“百人计划”支持回国，现任物理所表面室研究员、课题组长。主要研究方向为：低温扫描隧道显微镜（STM）/扫描隧道谱（STS）/分子束外延、原子尺度研究新型量子材料的生长、物性和新奇量子效应。过去几年中，在新型量子材料(拓扑绝缘体、硅烯等)的生长、物性研究方面取得了一些工作。发表SCI论文80多篇，总引用2000多次，有7篇论文被选为ESI“高引用论文”。 |
